Can a single parent ever hope to give a child a home that is as filled with love and happiness as one with two parents?
I believe that I can. Through my life experiences, I have determined the type of home that I want to have. I want my child to feel safe and secure always. Regardless of what is happening outdoors, our home will always be a safe refuge, our "port in any storm".
I want my child to know that I will always be there for him (or her) supporting and encouraging, even when I do not agree with every choice or decision. I want my child to believe in him (or her)self and to have self-confidence that is based on their abilities and accomplishments.
Although I will hope for my child's successes, I will not push in any one direction. I don't believe in over-crowded calendars and children being shuttled every day to different lessons, learning all-too-early the definition of stress. I do believe in simple play, family games, less electronics and more personal interaction and reading stories at night in bed. I believe in family, in lots of love and affection, in singing lullabyes, and I believe completely that our family will have a daddy soon, and until then, I have more than enough love for my child. I hope you will call me so we can get to know each other. 1-877-875-6981
